All elite struggles, the Upstart Professional Wrestling League, will, according to founder and co-owner Tony Khan, remain a private family business instead of pursuing a first public offer.
Khan told CNBC Sport that he was not interested in becoming public because he wants to pass on the competition to his children – who have not been born yet.
“I want to build,” said 42-year-old Khan. “I am still a relatively young director and once, I would like to have a family, and hopefully they can work in the company. It is a family business.”
AEW has grown in recent years, stimulated by a new TV and streaming deal with Warner Bros. Discovery. The competition competes with TKO Groups WWE for talent.
