AHMEDABAD: Custom synthesis and homegrown specialty chemistry player, Anupam Rasayan announced on Tuesday that the company has signed three MoUs with the state government afforestation on 15 hectares of land in three districts of Gujarat.
As part of the project, the company will implement afforestation on a plot of 50 hectares each in Tapi, Narmada and Surat districts.
The project will be part of Development action for the green belt through the development of various lands earmarked by the State Government for the plantation and maintenance of different types of trees.
Anand Desai, MD, Anupam Rasayan, said: “We are delighted to partner with the Forest divisions on this initiative. This will help offset our carbon emissions and further contribute to our goal of achieving net zero energy by 2027. We will be able to plant more than 1,66,000 trees on these arid lands.”
“The partnership will support efforts to identify innovative methods for sustainable land management and afforestation,” he added.
