Driven by growth in IT, e-commerce, FMCG and other related sectors, Bangalore has emerged as the top city with the highest hiring intention in the second quarter, followed by Chennai and Mumbai, according to a report.
According to the TeamLease Employment Outlook Report, 95 percent of employers said they were hiring more in the July-September quarter, compared to 91 percent in the April-June quarter.
From a pan-Indian perspective, 61 percent of employers surveyed were willing to hire people during the period, up 7 percentage points from the previous quarter, it added.
In Bangalore, both manufacturing and services have shown a positive intention to employ people, the report said.
In the manufacturing sector, the leading industries were FMCG (48 percent), healthcare and pharmaceuticals (43 percent), manufacturing, engineering and infrastructure (38 percent), energy and energy (34 percent) and agriculture and agrochemicals (30 percent). cents), it turned out.

The TeamLease Employment Outlook Report is a comprehensive hiring outlook report that reflects the hiring sentiment of more than 865 employers across 14 cities and 23 industries in India.
This report includes Intent to Hire statistics for the second quarter, 2022-23 (July-September 2022) based on the survey and analysis conducted in April and May 2022.
Meanwhile, the report revealed that Chennai is the second top city in terms of hiring intent in the second quarter of this financial year, with 87 percent employers eager to hire, compared to 78 percent in the April-June quarter.
Mumbai saw a 7 percentage point increase in hiring intention to 83 percent in the second quarter, from 76 percent in the previous quarter.
Of the 23 sectors surveyed, the majority of sectors showed a positive intention to hire people in Mumbai, the report said.
FMCG (59 percent), manufacturing, engineering and infrastructure (54 percent), power and energy (54 percent), healthcare and pharmaceuticals (40 percent), agriculture and agrochemicals (32 percent) and FMCD (32 percent) are leaders in the manufacturing segment .
In the services sector, IT (81 percent), financial services (80 percent), telecommunications (76 percent) and e-commerce and related start-ups (69 percent) were the most promising candidates seeking employment, it added. . PTI SM MR
