NEW DELHI: Several employees are already living in fear of a possible takeover of markets and continue working artificial intelligence (AI) in the future, a drinks company in Poland has reportedly appointed an AI robot as its ‘experimental’ Director.
Dictador, best known for its rum, has appointed the robot to oversee the company’s growth into one-off collectibles, communications or even strategy planning, reports indicate. The robot is named ‘Mika’.
“Dictador’s board decision is revolutionary and daring at the same time,” said Marek Szoldrowski, President of Europe. “This first humanoid robot, with AI, in a corporate structure, will change the world as we know it forever,” he said.
Major decisions, such as hiring and firing, are still in the hands of the company’s people, while Mika will largely focus on choosing artists who design custom bottles.
“My decision-making process depends on extensive data analysis and alignment with the company’s strategic objectives,” Mika said in an interview with Reuters news agency. “It is devoid of personal bias and ensures unbiased and strategic choices that prioritize the interests of the organization,” the report said.
Dictador has been at the forefront of technology-based stunts like this. Last week he offered what he called “the world’s first tokenization of aged rum” and last year he offered rum via NFT (which quickly raised $25,000 for the company).
Generative AI is expected to be used by companies to make more decisions in the future. According to a recent report, AI could add $2.6 trillion to $4.4 trillion annually to the global economy by 2040. The report also stated that AI could enable labor productivity growth of 0.1% to 0.6% annually over the same time.
