Ford engine is working on an update to the Lincoln Navigator with a 48-inch front-facing display that could serve as a “sanctuary” for spa lovers and gamers alike.
The new feature comes as the automaker redesigns the vehicle's exterior and interior for the 2025 model year, and as luxury brand Ford tries to differentiate the Navigator from the pack as sales of the large SUV decline.
“The all-new Navigator is more than just a vehicle; it can become a second home and a third space that rejuvenates customers in a whole new way, on and off the road,” said Dianne Craig, Lincoln president, in a press release.
The “sanctuary” mode is part of the “Lincoln Rejuvenate” function, which is intended to create a calming environment for the driver. Once the function is activated when the driver is parked, the driver’s seat automatically slides back, tilts, becomes slightly heated and makes massaging movements.

The mode — in five- or 10-minute increments — also changes the vehicle’s climate, emits refreshing scents and plays relaxing videos and sounds, such as a waterfall. Scent choices include mystic forest, ozonic azure and violet cashmere.
The vehicle comes pre-loaded with a “waterfall meditation” experience in partnership with meditation and sleep app company Calm; two other themes — “aurora borealis” and “elements” — are included with purchase.
“Navigator is the flagship of the Lincoln brand and represents our ultimate expression of safety,” Craig said.
The large, horizontal screen and rejuvenation modes were first introduced on the 2024 Lincoln Nautilus, but the Navigator's larger interior allowed for further improvements.

If a driver prefers to turn to media for relaxation instead of a spa experience, the front display can be split to play video and gaming apps while the vehicle is parked. Games currently include Asphalt Nitro 2, Angry Birds and Beach Buggy Racing 2.
The eight-passenger SUV will continue to be powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 engine making 440 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque. It also comes standard with the advanced BlueCruise driver-assist system, which enables hands-free highway driving.
Ford said pricing for the 2025 Navigator will start below $100,000, but that more detailed pricing will be released closer to the vehicle's launch in spring 2025. Starting prices for current models range from $83,000 to more than $114,000.
According to Lincoln, the current average transaction price of the Navigator is more than $101,300.
Lincoln sales rose 23.4 percent through July from a year earlier. However, Navigator sales fell about 21 percent during that period.
The updated Navigator was unveiled at Monterey Car Week and the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance auto show in California.
