Cadillac marketing director Brad Franz described the new vehicle as closer to a “baby Escalade” than a larger version of the Lyriq, the brand's first electric car, in 2022.
“This is an excellent platform that is much closer to an Escalade than the Lyriq,” he said at a media event.
The Vistiq's interior and exterior styling are in line with Cadillac's current and future electric vehicles, including the Lyriq and Escalade IQ. The interior features a long screen across the entire dashboard, while the exterior features sleek vertical and horizontal headlights and an illuminated grille.
The vehicle has a 102 kilowatt-hour battery pack and offers 615 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque. Cadillac's estimated range of a fully charged car is 300 miles.
The Vistiq will be sold worldwide, including in the US and Canada, with production beginning in early 2025 at GM's Spring Hill Manufacturing plant in Tennessee. At launch, the Vistiq will offer three trim levels: Luxury, Sport and Premium Luxury. A high-quality 'Platinum' version will be offered from the summer of 2025.
