Indian Oil Corp has set out a roadmap to achieve net zero Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2046.

Indian Oil Corp, the country’s largest refinery, has set a net zero carbon emissions target for 2046, chairman SM Vaidya said at Thursday’s annual shareholders’ meeting. India, one of the world’s largest emitters of greenhouse gases, aims for net emissions of zero by 2070.
Mr. Vaidya said the IOC has established a roadmap to achieve net zero Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2046. Scope 1 and 2 emissions relate to emissions from crude refining and energy consumption.
