VISAKHAPATNAM: The IT giant Infosys would soon start operations in the port city, according to company officials who visited the city on Wednesday. Together with IT Minister Gudivada Amarnath and regional coordinator YV Subba Reddy, the team visited the Infosys office at IT SEZ in Madhurawada. Infosys officials revealed that they would soon announce the start date of operations.
It is recalled that Infosys had taken the decision to start its operations Vizag at. But the activities were postponed for various reasons. It has set up an office at Hill Number 2 of IT SEZ in Madhurawada, on Beach Road.
Along with IT Minister, Regional Coordinator, Infosys Vice President of Basic Services, Global Head Neeladri Prasad Mishra, Assistant Vice President Punit DesaiRegional chief Kulkarni Jayachandran, Venkatesh and others surveyed the facilities in the building complex, which has about 65,000 to 75,000 sft of land.
