- “During the relevant period, the petitioner was a senior official of NSE. Incriminating evidence has already emerged against her. The consequences of granting bail will adversely affect the investigation,” the CBI said.
- “She reviewed the day-to-day business and the entire co-location setup implemented during her tenure at NSE. There are concerns that she could influence the witnesses if they are increased on bail,” the agency added.
- The co-location facility was set up to give added advantage to some trade members, and the case was against senior officials, the CBI said.
- “Investigation into the role and responsibility of top officials in facilitating unfair access to the co-location arrangement is ongoing,” it said.
- As lawyers have requested more time, the court will hear the following pleadings on April 21.
