Jet fuel sales rose 9.5% from a year ago as momentum in passenger traffic growth slowed slightly ahead of the start of the holiday season. Jet fuel sales posted devastating growth of 10.3% and 9.5% respectively in July and August.
The consumption of LPG, which is mainly used as household cooking gas, increased by 6% compared to the same period last year. Part of the growth is attributed to a Rs 200 reduction in the price of refills announced by the government on August 29.
On a monthly basis, jet fuel sales showed a miniscule decline of 0.4% from August, while LPG consumption rose 7.3%.
