Stock markets open at record high – Sensex at 67,731, Nifty at 20,161

Indian benchmarks hit new record highs for the second consecutive session on Friday, following their Asian peers, while stronger-than-expected macroeconomic data from China and easing concerns over US yields helped sentiment.

The Nifty 50 rose 0.35% to 20,173.15 at 9:15 AM IST, while the S&P BSE Sensex rose 0.38% to 67,774.46.
