Tata Motors said on Saturday that total domestic sales rose 44 percent in September to 80,633 units.
The company had shipped 55,988 units to dealers by September 2021.
The Mumbai-based automaker reported an 85 percent increase in total domestic passenger cars to 47,654 units last month, from 25,730 units in September 2021.
Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Managing Director Shailesh Chandra said the company achieved all-time highs of 47,654 monthly sales last month, led by record sales from Nexon and Punch.
“With the recent launch of the Tiago EV, the company has opened up new perspectives and is poised to drive the mass adoption of EVs across the country. vehicles,” he added.
The company said deliveries of commercial vehicles to the domestic market rose 9 percent last month to 32,979 units, from 30,258 units in September last year.
