Tata Consultancy Services has teamed up with AWS (Amazon Web Services) to launch a quantum computing lab on the Amazon platform.
Quantum computing, considered by experts to be one of the most promising technologies, is still in its infancy. According to the software major, quantum computing has the potential to solve problems that are too difficult for classical computers to solve quickly.
TCS Quantum Computing Lab on AWS (Amazon Web Services) will help enterprises develop and test business solutions and accelerate the adoption of quantum computing, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) said today.
“Our customers can jump-start their quantum computing journey by taking advantage of the investments TCS has made in this powerful technology, backed by our strong partnership with AWS,” said Krishna Mohan, Global Head, AWS Business Unit, TCS, in a release.
TCS has been investing in quantum computing research for more than four years, which has already resulted in two patent applications and advances in artificial intelligence, optimization, cryptography and digital security, the company said in a release.
The company will help customers explore and co-create new use cases of quantum computing to address business challenges that defy the capabilities of conventional technologies, TCS said.
