The majority of female entrepreneurs face challenges when using loan services from nationalized banks, according to a survey.
The study was conducted by Bharatiya Yuva Shakti Trust (BYST) and saw the participation of 450 women entrepreneurs from three cities – the national capital, Chennai and Pune.
The survey also found that about 60 percent of these entrepreneurs had problems accessing critical financial services.
Eighty-five percent of female entrepreneurs faced difficulties using loan services from nationalized banks, the study claimed.
It was conducted during a three-year BYST Women Entrepreneurship Development Program to establish profitable businesses in Chennai, Pune and Delhi-NCR.
