Beautiful catch was made in T20 Blast by Pepper© Twitter
Cricket has often witnessed great catches. One such catch came during the third quarter-final of the T20 Blast between Essex and Lancashire in Manchester on Friday. And it also had a funny reference point. Essex batted first, scoring 161/5 in 20 overs. Their No. 3 Michael Pepper scored their highest score with a 28-ball 36. He was bumped over by Phil Salt from Tom Hartley in the 13th. Then Pepper had revenge too.
In the pursuit, Salt came out batting opener for Lancashire. He hit at 27 when he appeared to hit one over a deep mid-wicket, where Pepper was stationed, next to Matt Critchley’s bowling alley. Pepper jumped up to hold the ball, but he couldn’t balance himself as he crossed the line, but before that he had managed to pass the ball to teammate Ben Allison. As a result, Salt came out for 27, in which Pepper played a big part.
