The spit on the field between Luckknow Super Giants spinner Digvesh Rathi and Sunrisers Hyderabad opener Abhishek Sharma became the new conversation of the city. The incident took place during the IPL 2025 match between the two teams on Monday in Lunkknow when Digvesh made his trademark 'notebook' celebration after rejecting Abhishek. The celebration of the LSG spinner did not go well with Abhishek when the SRH opener in Digvesh in Digvesh, which resulted in referees who intervene and make peace between the two players.
After the game, the spit continued when during the handshake after the game, the duo exchanged a few words again and this time LSG assistant coach Vijay Dahiya also intervened and encouraged them to sort the differences. A few moments later, both Abhishek and Digvesh were seen walking with arms on each other's shoulders.
In the midst of all this drama, LSG owner Sanjiv Goenka also came out and had a quick chat with Abhishek. At the moment, SRH Battery Ishan Kishan was also present at the duo and some pictures of their meeting went viral on social media.

During the presentation after the match, ABHISHEK also stated that everything is now good between him and Digvesh.
“I spoke to him after the game and it is all good now. If we first struck, I may have had other plans, but so chased so that we had a clear plan. If you ask a player who did well for the team, who is haunting 200 plus something, you should be able to win the powerplay,” said Abhishek.
“I wanted to express myself and if I am doing well, I know that the team is going to do well too. It was the same plan that I also had in international cricket. Just push myself out and knock it around,” he added.
Speaking of Digvesh, the LSG spinner has received a suspension of one match from the Indian Premier League (IPL) Administrative Board for repeated violation of the Code of Conduct for the competition.
Rathi was already punished twice by the IPL for his extravagant celebrations after taking wickets in LSG's competitions.
The Spinner received a fine of 50 percent match costs and also received a suspension of the next LSG match against the Gujarat Titans.
Abhishek Sharma was also punished by the BCCI for his alter action with Digvesh during the competition.
