Babar Azam in action against the Netherlands
Pakistani captain Babar Azam hit his eighth fifty-plus score in nine innings as he helped his team beat the Netherlands in the second one-day international. Babar scored 65-ball 57 while Pakistan easily chased the Netherlands’ total of 186. Mohammad Rizwan (69) and Agha Salman (50) remained undefeated and unbeaten as Pakistan took an unassailable lead in the series.
Babar is in the middle of a purple spot, which has resulted in him scoring 4 Centuries and 4 Half Centuries in the last 9 turns. His only failure came in the third ODI against the West Indies where he was fired 1.
He scored a smooth 74 in the first game of the Dutch series and hopes his 50 form over the Asia Cup, which will be a T20 event, will be carried over.

Babar has the arduous task of leading Pakistan to victory in the continental tournament, in which they will clash with arch-rival India on August 28 and potentially play twice more if both teams continue the top-flight battle.
Pakistan last won the Asian Cup in 2012 and are looking to end their decade-long wait to win the continental tournament.
