A total of 1,214 cricketers, including 318 from outside India, have registered for the upcoming mega sale ahead of the Indian Premier League 2022 (IPL 2022) season. Among them is Bhutanese cricketer Mikyo Dorji, who hopes to make history by being the first from his country to win an IPL contract. With only a few weeks to go before the mega sale, IPL aspirant Dorji recently shared a video from the past in which he spoke with former India skipper MS Dhoni. The video shows Dhoni sharing advice with Dorji.
Here is the video of the meeting of the two players:
“‘Keep it simple. Focus more on the process and less on the results. If you do the process right, you’ll get the result. And enjoy, don’t put too much pressure on,'” Dorji wrote in the video’s caption , quoting Dhoni.
“Since the wonderful MS Dhoni gave me this advice, it has stayed with me forever,” he added.
Dorji recently said that playing in the IPL is his “ultimate dream”.

“Playing in the IPL is an ultimate dream for me. People saw that there was one player on the auction list from Bhutan and my friends started calling me. But they don’t know (laughs) that this is just the first round, and the names will be further shortlisted,” Dorji told The New Indian Express.
“If I’m honest with myself, my name won’t be on the master list after it’s cropped. Anyway, just registering is a big problem for Bhutan,” he added.
