Royal Challengers Bangalore players will get their revenge as they face Luckow Super Giants in the reverse match of IPL 2023 in Lucknow. RCB comes to Lucknow after a crushing defeat at home to KKR and beating LSG in their backyard is not going to be an easy task for RCB. The Faf du Plessis-led side lost at home to KL Rahul & Co. in a high scoring match.
Former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan thinks RCB seems to depend on the top three hitters, namely Faf du Plessis, Virat Kohli and Glenn Maxwell. Their Indian players have not batted in TIPL 2023 which is concerning.
Speaking on Star Sports’ Cricket Live, Irfan Pathan said: “RCB will have to find a solution that if KGF (Kohli, Glenn, Faf) doesn’t work then who will lead the team through troubled waters. Be it Dinesh Karthik or Mahipal Lomror is. RCB’s middle order looks very weak. Karthik couldn’t prove once in last 8 games that the team can rely on him for big scores or during chases. RCB board will have to fix this loophole in their batting .’
Meanwhile, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on Monday named Kedar Jadhav as David Willey’s replacement for the remainder of the 2023 Indian Premier League (IPL). Willey, the England all-rounder, has played four games for RCB this season and has taken three wickets.
Jadhav, who made his IPL debut in 2010, has played 93 IPL matches so far and has 1196 runs to his credit. The right-handed batsman, who previously represented RCB in 17 matches, was brought on board for INR 1 Crore.
