Returning to the home stadium of the team with which he won the Indian Premier League (IPL) title, David Warner was in a mesmerizing mood. Seeing his old Sunrisers Hyderabad teammate Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Warner rushed to the pacer and touched his feet before the two embraced. Delhi Capital’s pacemaker Ishant Sharma was also spotted in the video, and he couldn’t contain his laughter watching Warner’s performance. The video of the incident was shared on social media by IPL and has captured the hearts of many fans.
Warner didn’t see his stint with the Sunrisers end on a positive note, but he did have some of his best years in the IPL with the franchise. It is famous that in the 2016 season, the Aussie had led the team all the way to the title by beating Royal Challengers Bangalore in the final.
Understandably, Warner was delighted to return to Hyderabad, but this time as captain of the opposing team.

After the match, Warner admitted that he enjoys being at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. “I love it here, it’s a great crowd, they always come here to support. Thank you for all the support. The game presents us with challenges, for us it’s great to get two points,” he said after the game when DC got a 7. run victory over SRH.
The veteran Australian cricketer was ecstatic at the way his bowlers performed as they defended a low total of 144 runs.
“Mukesh under pressure was great. Well done to him and the two spinners, they have been our rock. These two are skilled bowlers, they will never let you down. From day one he (Ishant) kept telling me that was he was ready.Unfortunately he was sick a few matches before but that is an honor for him.He has worked very hard to get back into the IPL.
“To get a chance and bowl up front like he’s done, that’s exceptional. We talked about it at the end of 0 (wins) out of 5 (matches), that teams have won before from there. Hopefully we can get there make three in a row. We have back-to-back games against Sunrisers, so we have to start over,” he said after the game.
