Delhi Capitals’ match against Punjab Kings will continue as scheduled at Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai, India’s Board of Control for Cricket (BCCI) has said in an official release. DailyExpertNews has been informed that two more Delhi Capitals players have tested positive for COVID-19. The playing conditions require that a team can field 12 players for a match and because DC can do that, the match continues. The recent cases have brought the total number of covid-positive cases in the Delhi camp to six.
The BCCI also announced in its publication that Delhi’s next match, to be played against Rajasthan Royals in Pune on April 22, will now be played in Mumbai at Wankhede Stadium.
“The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Wednesday announced a change of venue for match No. 34 – Delhi Capital vs. Rajasthan Royals from MCA Stadium, Pune to Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai, scheduled for April 22, 2022.

“The decision on the change of location was made as a precautionary measure after Delhi Capitals registered the 6.e COVID case with New Zealand wicketkeeper Tim Seifert returning positive in today’s RT-PCR test.
“The entire Delhi Capitals contingent has undergone 2 rounds of COVID testing today. Match No. 32 with Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings is scheduled for today in Brabourne – CCI will continue on schedule after the second round of COVID testing was negative today become,” BCCI informed via a press release.
