The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 is just around the corner. The schedule for India's richest cricket tournament has been announced, with MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings taking on Royal Challengers Bangalore, which features stars like Virat Kohli, in the opening match on March 22 in Chennai. So far, only the schedule of the first two weeks is known as the IPL organizers await the announcement of the 2024 general elections for more clarity on the dates.
Meanwhile, a video of the lookalikes of famous cricketers has gone viral. In the video, lookalikes of Sachin Tendulkar, MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan are seen on a cricket field. The video has gone viral on social media with some calling it 'Duplicate Premier League'.

With Virat Kohli skipping the ongoing Test series against England due to personal reasons, the legendary Sunil Gavaskar on Monday wondered whether the star batsman would play in the upcoming Indian Premier League. The IPL 24 starts with defending champions Chennai Super Kings taking on Royal Challengers Bangalore at Chepauk on March 22. Initially named in the Indian Test squad, the RCB talisman withdrew before the opening match in Hyderabad. Earlier this month, the cricketer and his wife Anushka Sharma announced the birth of their second child.
“Kya woh khelenge… kuchh reed ke liye khel nahin rahe hain, shaayad ho sakta hai ke IPL ke liye bhi na khele (Will he play… He is not playing due to some reason, maybe he is not playing in IPL too ),” Gavaskar said rather cheekily when asked if Kohli would be hungry for runs in the IPL as he would be back in action after a long break.
Gavaskar interacted with the students of Indian Institute of Management, Ranchi at a Star Sports Star event.
