England vs New Zealand, 1st Test, Day 2 Highlights: Daryl Mitchell and Tom Blundell have stitched an undefeated 180-run partnership to put New Zealand in charge of proceedings against England in the on-going first Test at Lord’s. At punches on Day 2, Mitchell and Blundell hit 97 and 90 respectively, while New Zealand managed to take a 227 point lead en route to Day 3. Trent Boult then delivered the final blow, firing concussion replacement Matthew Parkinson. On Day 1, England had tied New Zealand for 132, with James Anderson and Matthew Potts taking two wickets each. England then showed some resistance with the bat and they were left 92/2 in the 29th.
