Ahead of the first England-New Zealand test at Lord’s, which kicks off on Thursday, former captain Michael Vaughan lashed out at not enough tickets being sold, citing expensive prices as the reason. “Lords not full this week is an embarrassment to the game.. Try blaming the Jubilee if they want to but I guarantee if tickets weren’t £100-£160 it would be full!! Why are they so expensive???” he tweeted.

He even had a suggestion to fill the stadium more.
“How about coming up with a way to get the remaining tickets at Lords for kids with a parent for £40 to make sure it’s full.. it’s the school holidays and there will be lots of kids around to to go to the test match ??” he tweeted.
