The return of senior India stars to the Ranji Trophy circuit attracted many fans, and that was clearly visible to the general public that was present at the BKC Ground in Mumbai, where Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal played. For Rohit Sharma it was a return to the Interior Cricket after almost ten years, but that did not go according to plan, since Mumbai lost to the Underdogs Jammu and Kashmir. However, how much attraction Rohit alone entails in a competition became clear when a fan stormed the field to meet him.
On day 3 of the four -day game between Mumbai and Jammu and Kashmir, a fan invaded the playing field and ran to Rohit Sharma, who was playing halfway.
Rohit seemed to have a short interaction with the fan, while up -and -coming security tried to guide him off the ground. Eventually the fan was taken by the security.
Although such incidents can be short -lived and airy, they are also the threat of being dangerous for the players.

The comeback of Rohit Sharma in Ranji failed
Rohit Sharma scored 3 and 28 respectively in two innings when Mumbai dropped to a defeat of five wickets against Jammu and Kashmir.
Yashasvi Jaiswal did not do well and scored 4 and 26.
In both innings, Mumbai suffered from a collapse of top class, where the fall in the first innings was particularly embarrassing. Despite a stars -littered stroke setup, with Ajinkya Rahane, Shreyas Iyer and Shivam Dube, Mumbai continued to falter on 47/7 in the first innings.
In the second innings they did not do much better and lost their seventh wicket for 107.
On both occasions it was Shardul Thakur and Tanush Kotian who save Mumbai. Thakur hit fifty in the first innings, and then noted a beautiful century (119) in the second. Unfortunately for him his efforts were in vain.
Mumbai will play their last Ranji Trophy group match against Railways from January 30.
