India will take on Pakistan in their opening match of the 2022 ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup in Tauranga on March 6, 2022. The showpiece kicks off at the Bay Oval in Tauranga on March 4, 2022, with host New Zealand taking on the West Indies . England and Australia then take it on the next day at Seddon Park in Hamilton. A total of 31 matches will be played over 31 days, with the eight teams competing for the World Cup title.
According to ICC, Australia, England, South Africa and India qualified for the event based on their position in the 2017-20 ICC Women’s Championship, while New Zealand automatically qualified as hosts.
The mega event will be played in competition format, with all eight countries playing against each other once, after which the top four teams will qualify for the semi-finals.

The first semi-final of the World Cup will be played on March 30 at The Basin Reserve in Wellington, while The Hagley Oval will play the second semi-final on March 31.
The finals of the tournament will be played on April 3. Both the semi-finals and the finals have a spare day according to ICC.
