Veteran wicket-keeper batter Dinesh Karthik earned a call-up to the Indian team on Sunday for the upcoming T20 International (T20I) series of five games against South Africa for his stellar performance for Royal Challengers Bangalore in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022. He played most recently for India in 2019 and the recall comes after his exploits as a finisher helped RCB qualify for the play-offs. On Twitter, Dinesh Karthik – who spoke out about his desire to represent the national team again – shared an image in an India jersey, writing: “If you believe in yourself, everything will fall into place!”
