India won the three-game T20 series against New Zealand 1-0 after the third and final game via the Duckworth-Lewis method ended in a draw following a rain delay on Tuesday. Indian bowlers put on a brilliant show to beat New Zealand for 160 after the hosts decided to bat. Chasing the total, skipper Hardik Pandya hit an unbeaten 18-ball 30 while India were 75 for four in 9 overs as rain stopped play. As the incessant rain lashed McLean Park, the match could not be resumed.
India was level on DLS scoreline when rain stopped play hence the game was declared a draw.
For New Zealand, Devon Conway (59) and Glenn Phillips (54) scored fifty. The two bonded for an 86 run partnership after Finn Allen (3) and Mark Chapman (12) went off inside the power play overs.
But the Indian bowlers did well to collapse the batting as New Zealand were all out in 19.4 overs.
Mohammed Siraj (4/17) and Arshdeep Singh (4/37) impressed with the ball, taking four wickets each.
