Former South African cricketer Jonty Rhodes had shown the utmost respect with an incredible gesture as he bent over to touch Sachin Tendulkar’s feet after the Punjab Kings (PBKS) game against Mumbai Indians (MI) on Wednesday. In a video that appeared online, Rhodes was seen kneeling to touch Sachin’s feet, who in turn hugged the former South African player with a huge smile on his face. Rhodes is the current fielding coach of PBKS, while Sachin is the mentor of the MI franchise.

The incident happened after the game when players and support staff shook hands.
The game didn’t go as planned for MI, who had to admit their fifth loss in as many games this season.
As lead batter, PBKS scored 198/5 in 20 overs. Openers Mayank Agarwal and Shikhar Dhawan played their roles to perfection, each scoring incredible fifties.

In response, MI tried their hardest to chase the target but was limited to 186/9 in 20 overs, ultimately giving PBKS a 12-run victory.
MI next plays Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at Mumbai’s Brabourne Stadium on April 16. PBKS, on the other hand, will face SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the Dr DY Patil Sports Academy in Mumbai on April 17.
