Former Team India player Virender Sehwag faced backlash for his ‘Vada Pav’ tweet he posted after Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) defeated Mumbai Indians (MI) thanks to Pat Cummins’ combative innings. Sehwag commented in his own witty way, “Moonh se nivala cheen liya, sorry vada pav cheen liya. Pat Cummins, one of the most insane displays of clean hitting, 15 ball 56…Jeera Batti,” after Pat Cummins played an astonishing knock of 56 runs from 15 balls to help his team achieve a memorable win on Wednesday. This tweet apparently did not go down well with MI or Rohit fans and Sehwag had to make his stance on the matter clear.

Sehwag took to Twitter again and said his ‘Vada Pav’ reference was for Mumbai and that Rohit’s fans should cool off and have nothing to worry about.
“The Vada Pav reference is for Mumbai, a city that thrives on Vada Pav. Rohit fans, I’m a bigger fan of his percussion, way more than most of you.”

Sehwag’s initial reaction was the result of Pat Cummins going completely ballistic in the span of just 15 balls.
The Australian Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) pacesetter had turned the game on its head with a 14-ball fifty that helped his team win their third game of the season by five wickets.

In the process, Cummins equaled the fasted half-century IPL record and is now on par with KL Rahul at the top.
The knock drew applause from all corners, including Sehwag.
