KL Rahul showed his superb field skills when he took a spectacular catch on Tuesday to sack Anuj Rawat during match 31 of the current Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 season at Dr DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai. On the first over of RCB’s innings, Rawat received a full ball from Dushmantha Chameera on the fifth ball. Rawat missed his shot and skied it to the halfway point where Rahul ducked forward for a good catch. The dismissal was further confirmed by the third umpire, as Rawat left for four runs on just five balls.
Here is the video of Rahul’s capture to fire Rawat:
Initially, LSG captain Rahul won the toss and chose to field. In their debut season, Lucknow got off to a strong start with two wickets in the first over themselves.
Former RCB captain Virat Kohli was sacked in the next ball after Rawat’s dismissal for a golden duck. The batter got a short pitch and lobed it backward to Deepak Hooda for an easy catch.

Before the match, Rahul revealed that his team was focused on their match against RCB.
“We’re going to bowl first. At this stage, all teams like chasing. The game as we know it can go up and down. I have a few first ball ducks and then a hundred. It’s good to keep my game sharp. I came excited in the game because I wanted to do well for my team. Same team for us,” he said.
