Rinku Singh had a great hit towards the end of the innings to take Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) to victory, but the franchise ended up losing by two runs, thanks to a brilliant comeback from Marnus Stoinis as Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) came in only second team that confirmed a place in the play-offs in the on-going Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022. Nitish Rana scored 42 points while Shreyas Iyer scored a remarkable fifty in the chase. As first batter, LSG openers KL Rahul (68*) and Quinton de Kock (140*) did not stop there, scoring 210 runs in 20 overs. Their score was the highest opening score ever in the IPL.

LSG is now in second place 18 points behind GT (20). RR is currently third (16) while DC (14) is currently fourth. Following them are RCB, who are fifth with seven wins from 13 games.
KKR, PBKS and SRH are in sixth, seventh and eighth respectively, while former champions CSK and MI are bottom of the rankings in ninth and tenth place respectively.

Jos Buttler leads the way with 627 runs from 13 games, while KL adds Rahul to the tally with a nice fifty and now has 537 runs from 14 games. His batter Quinton de Kock is third on the list with 502 points.

Yuzvendra Chahal remains at the top of the wicket taker’s list with 24 scalps so far. Wanindu Hasaranga and Kagiso Rabada are in second and third respectively, while pace sensation Umran Malik is currently fourth with 21 wickets.
