Dwaine Pretorius, who was bought by Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the mega sale, has started the current Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 season well. The pacesetter is in his debut IPL season and has represented CSK in two matches . At a recent training session, the South African brought his son along, who became the center of attention during training. CSK posted highlights of Pretorius’ son’s visit to CSK training, captioning it as, “Simba Hanlu’s Day Out! Super Dad Dwaine and Little Boy Cling to the Nets! #WhistlePodu #Yellove”

In two games, Pretorius took four wickets for CSK and also registered eight runs.
The defending champions are currently in poor form and have not yet won a single match in IPL 2022. They have lost all matches in three matches.
In their previous match against Punjab Kings (PBKS), Chennai lost by 54 runs.
Chasing a goal of 181 runs, CSK was thrown out for 126 in 18 overs. Half a century by Shivam Dube (57 from 30 balls) failed to propel the franchise to a win.

Initially, PBKS put up 180 for eight in 20 overs, with Liam Livingstone crushing 60 runs from 32 balls. The Englishman also took two wickets.
CSK is also under a new skipper in the form of Ravindra Jadeja. He took over the role after MS Dhoni resigned before IPL 2022.
