Rajasthan Royals (RR) were in excellent form in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022. With six wins in nine matches, the Sanju Samson-led RR is currently third in the 10 team standings with 12 points. RR will face Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on Monday. While their opponents are eighth in the standings with just three wins in nine games, RR can qualify for the playoffs if they can win two to three more games. Their batting has been great, while their bowlers have performed as well.
However, experts feel that RR needs to look at certain aspects. “The worrying thing from the Rajasthan Royals’ point of view, if there’s anything they should be concerned about, it’s that at the end of the tournament the wickets will slow down where it’s more likely to slip,” former England cricketer Graeme Swann said. Star Sports.
“So far they have played some brilliant batting tracks and the RR batting has been so good they have won every game. They were too far ahead of any team. But with the wickets spinning and getting slow (as the tournament progress) they can distract in the future and can lose some close games so they will have to find a way because it can’t always be smash-smash-smash, and they can’t rely heavily on Buttler. the middle overs who score 10-20 extra runs, even in games with low scores.”
Former England cricketer Nick Knight, on the other hand, was impressed by Buttler’s score game after game.
“What really impressed me about Jos Buttler is the way he started every innings. I mean, when we look at the outcome of his innings, usually it’s either the 50s or 100s, he (looks) in a other gear (But) He tends to forget what he did in the previous match and start again (He) hasn’t taken his form for granted at all He gives himself a few balls to get in and then that big shots,” he said.
