Now I am playing for Another great franchise that has won five IPL trophies. I will obviously miss playing with MS Dhoni. Mumbai Indians are a great franchise so I am really looking forward to playing for them.” Chahar also gave an update on his fitness and training regimen.
“After the last IPL season, I went to Britain to train. I trained with a big football club there. Then I came back and played five Ranji Trophy matches, bowling about 150 overs. Now I play in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy I have been playing cricket regularly and training well for the past six months. My main goal is to achieve that again, I have to play all fourteen matches and perform at my full potential, and hopefully make a comeback for Team India a whole important season for me,” he said, as quoted by JioCinema.
Discussing his new team, Chahar expressed optimism about MI's prospects for the upcoming season.
“The MI team is looking strong this season. They have always been a dominant side in the history of IPL and they have won five seasons for obvious reasons. I am happy to be part of this team and hope to win more. I hope to get the chance to bat in the coming seasons as well, because that is something I didn't get much chance to do at CSK, so I will definitely try to do my best with both bat and ball.” he said.
Talking about his role as a bowler, especially in the death overs, Chahar said: “As a bowler, I like to take challenges and perform to the best of my ability. At CSK I had my roles, and now at MI I will have different roles , but I am ready. I hope to do well with both bat and ball and contribute to MI's success. Wankhede has a good job, and in my previous appearances I have done well there Keep doing good for my sake team.”
