Less than a day after joining the Gloucestershire squad as a replacement for Pakistani pacer Naseem Shah, veteran fast bowler Mohammad Amir grounded in the ongoing T20 Blast. Amir, who replaced the injured Naseem in the squad on Friday, made his Gloucestershire debut later in the day against Somerset in Taunton. The former Pakistani pacemaker scored twice in the match, sending Will Smed and Ben Green away. On the third pitch of Somerset’s innings, Amir threw a full-length to Smeed, who tried to play a thumping cover drive.
However, he got a thick rim, which flew straight to Benny Howell, who was stationed at the first slip.
Amir was elated after picking his first wicket for Gloucester and he celebrated the wicket with a dance move popularized by Allu Arjun from the ‘Srivalli’ song in the movie ‘Pushpa: The Rise’.
The video was shared by Gloucestershire on their official Twitter handle.

Amir finished the match with two to 25, including a maiden over.
Unfortunately for Amir, his team ended up on the losing side, as Somerset won the game by seven points.
Fifties of Rilee Rossouw (54) and Lewis Gregory (60) had propelled Somerset to a strong total of 184 for six.

In response, Gloucestershire were limited to a total of 177 for eight despite the punches of 43 and 42 respectively from Ryan Higgins and Benny Howell.
