Rishabh Pant will soon be playing for Team India as he is part of the Indian cricket team that will face South Africa at home in the upcoming T20I series. Pant’s performance will take center stage as he had a subpar IPL and would like to contribute to the team’s cause. Veteran Dinesh Karthik is also in the squad and while Pant’s place in the squad is cemented, he would certainly like to keep his reputation as India’s best wicketkeeper batter intact with good performances.
Pant’s wicket-keeping skills have improved dramatically as he progressed in his international cricket. In a recent podcast, Pant explained how he got into wicket-keeping early.
“I try to give my 100 percent in every match. I was always a wicket-keeper-batsman. As a child I started with wicket-keepers. My father was also a wicket-keeper. That’s how I started wicket-keepe.” Pant said on the SG podcast.
Rishabh Pant’s Delhi Capitals missed out on a place in the IPL 2022 play-offs. Part of Pant’s decision-making as a captain was center stage after the eviction from Delhi.
He has been chosen as the vice-captain for the upcoming series where India will be led by KL Rahul while Rohit Sharma is rested.
