Former Indian cricketer Suresh Raina mourned his father’s passing on Monday and said he has lost his “pillar of strength”. Raina’s father passed away on Sunday after losing his battle with cancer. The former Indian batter wrote an emotional note to his father on Monday.

“No words can describe the pain of losing a father. Yesterday, in the passing of my father, I also lost my support system, my mainstay. He was a true fighter until his last breath. May you rest in peace daddy. You will be forever missed,” Raina tweeted.
Raina has always been a team man. The left-handed batter scored 5,615 runs in ODI cricket with an average of 35.31. He also registered 768 runs in the game’s longest format with his highest score of 120.
