Even on the cricket field, Virat Kohli remains surrounded by fans. While a number of Indian cricketers worship the iconic batsman, even the opposing team players respect what Kohli has done over the years in international cricket. As India took on the West Indies in the second Test of the series, Kohli had an intriguing conversation with the hosts’ wicket-keeper batsman about his ‘milestones’. The conversation unfolded in a way that suggested that even De Silva, the wicket-keeper on the opposing team, wants the stalwart Indian to hit the three-figure mark.
Kohli finished the first match day unbeaten on 87, just 13 runs away from reaching another hundred. Before the end of the game on Day 1, Kohli had a rather intriguing conversation with De Silva.
Joshua da Silva:Get your 100, Virat.
Virat Kohli: Are you obsessed with my milestones?
Joshua da Silva: I know I am, I want you to get your 100.
The chat was even shared by the competition’s broadcaster, Fancode, on social media.

Kohli became the first batter to score a half-century in his 500th international game. The 34-year-old would try to turn the start into a big knock and register a three-digit score before any West Indian batters get to bat.
Kohli’s final Test century came against Australia in Ahmedabad on 12 March 2023. During the match he scored 186 runs off 364 balls. It was Virat’s 28th time reaching the three-digit mark in the longest format. On Friday, he would be determined to score the number 29 and extend his international hundred to 76.
In Tests, Virat scores an average of 55.17. He would further bolster his numbers in the purest form of the game as he added an extra 13 runs to his 87-run undefeated knockout in the match.
