Pakistan and Sri Lanka currently face each other in the Asia Cup final at the Dubai International Stadium. After winning the toss, Pakistani captain Babar Azam chose to bowl. Sterpacer Naseem Shah and all-rounder Shadab Khan were recalled to the playing XI after sitting out the Super 4 match against the same team. Naseem, who was on top form in the Asian Cup, announced his return in style when he finished Sri Lanka opener Kusal Mendis in the first.
On the third ball of the game, Naseem produced an in-swinging throw that came back sharp, sending Mendis flying off the stump.
Mendis was beaten by tempo as the ball sliced off the pads to end his stay in the center.
