Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will face Gujarat Titans (GT) on Thursday in Match 67 of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. This will be RCB’s last game of the competition and they will try to finish the competition phase with a win to their name. To strike a balance in their batting division, skipper Faf du Plessis might be tempted to enlist the services of Anuj Rawat instead of the struggling Mahipal Lomror in their playing XI.
Here’s how RCB can line up for their GT clash on Thursday:
Virat Kohli: Kohli has given us a few glimpses of brilliance despite looking for consistency with the bat this season. He will strive to end the competition phase with a personal highlight of a good score.
Faf du Plessis: Skipper Faf has given his team a pretty good start, but has been out of the running for the last few games. He will want to regain some of his lost touch over GT.
Rajat Patidar: Rajat’s temperament has been praised for continuing to hit strong despite the game being in tense situations.
Glenn Maxwell: Maxwell came out in the 20s and 30s for brash shots. During his cameos, he has looked good with a series of strokes such as the switch and the reverse sweep.
Dinesh Karthik: Karthik remains a key asset to the current RCB combination and acts as a finisher.
Anuj Rawat: Anuj can be brought down in the order he might be needed to increase the run rate in the death overs vs GT.
Shahbaz Ahmed: Shahbaz’s all round performance has been decent so far but it will be tested to the limit versus a strong GT lineup.
Wanindu Hasaranga: Hasaranga continues to supply the wicket balls in the middle-overs for RCB. His biggest challenge will be to stop the GT batting juggernaut.
Harshal Patel: Harshal threw an excellent shot against PBKS to end up with a four wicket throw. However, his side still lost the match by 54 runs
promoted
Mohammed Siraj: Siraj has been out of color for quite some time and Faf would like his premier strike bowler to come out of a meager patch ASAP.
Josh Hazlewood: Hazlewood picking up crucial wickets early in the innings was one of the main reasons RCB was able to limit the opposition to low scores.
