The RRR fever has gripped the entire Indian cricket spectrum, with the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) also taking to social media to congratulate the entire RRR team on their success at the Oscars 2023, with the song Naatu Naatu which won the ‘Best Original Song’ award. In the tweet, LSG shared a total of 4 photos with the tweet, three of which feature the members of the film. However, one of the photos was of the skipper of the franchise, KL Rahul. As soon as the post was shared on Twitter, baffled fans started commenting asking why Rahul was part of the tweet.
Although KL Rahul has no direct connection to the movie, it seems like a brazen attempt by LSG to make a connection between the movie RRR and ‘Rahul’. Here’s the tweet:
Congratulations to the entire team behind RRR on their spectacular victory on #TheOscars

SS Rajamouli’s films are all singing, dancing spectacles – and he’s now a favorite to bag the first-ever Oscar for an all-Indian film.
His three-hour extravaganza “RRR” is a fictionalized tale of two colonial-era revolutionaries filled with large-scale, visual effects-laden action sequences and musical numbers.
It has smashed box offices in India, stunned audiences from the United States to Japan, and is a frontrunner for the Best Original Song award at next month’s Oscars, having already beat out Taylor Swift and Rihanna for the same award at the Golden Globes.
“When I go to a movie, I want to see life-size characters, life-size situations, life-size dramas,” Rajamouli told AFP.
“And that’s what I like to make,” he said at his office in the southern city of Hyderabad.
“Nothing stops the heroes from delivering their action sequences.”
A word of mouth that has seen moviegoers dancing in cinema aisles, Telugu language “RRR” has become one of the highest grossing Indian movies ever.
