Rajasthan Royals batter Shimron Hetmyer credited Saturday that his team’s strike depth was the reason for a clinically successful 190 chase against Punjab Kings in an IPL match on Saturday. “Chasing a long 190 really shows that we have a lot of depth in our at bat. There’s a lot of faith in every player. We make sure we continue to believe that we can do it,” said the West Indian batter.
Jaiswal left in the 15th with only 49 needed from 35 balls as Hetmyer played the part of a finisher in his 16-ball 31.
“This year I’m really taking as much time as possible. In the last couple of years I haven’t given myself that much of a chance. This time I’m going to give myself at least five. -6 balls and then just go from there. So far it’s worked” , the 25-year-old said after finishing the game for his side.
