The three-match test series between India and South Africa is tied at 1-1 with the final test set to be played at Newlands in Cape Town from January 11. India won the opening game by 113 runs at the SuperSport Park in Centurion. The visitors then went down against a spirited South African side in the second game, with the home side’s skipper Dean Elgar from the front. The opener led his team to the 240-run goal in relative comfort as the Indian team failed to catch up in the later stages of the test game at The Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has shared a video revealing India’s journey and their eventual “landing” in Cape Town.
The players looked pretty relaxed to a crucial match that promises to be a thriller. The BCCI’s message was credited as follows:
“Touchdown Cape Town. #TeamIndia #SAvIND”

According to KL Rahul and head coach Rahul Dravid, the Indian team is expected to have its regular Test skipper Virat Kohli back in the playing XI. Kohli missed the second game due to back cramps and therefore KL Rahul led the match in the longest format for the first time.

However, the stand-in skipper was unable to hold on to India’s winning streak in the series and the visitors missed their chance to make history by claiming their first Test series win in South Africa.
India gets another chance in Cape Town with Kohli back to bolster the strike depth of the final XI.
