Virat Kohli is one of the fastest runners between wickets©Twitter
There is no messing around with Virat Kohli. The Indian cricket icon is not one to take the opposition’s taunts and barbs lightly. During the West Indies tour, Kohli not only decimated the hosts’ bowlers with his superb technique to hit the boundaries, but also frustrated them by performing quick doubles between the wickets. In what appeared to be an attempt by a Windies player to unnerve him, Kohli’s alpha avatar spiked when he replied, “I’ve been stealing doubles since 2012”. The comments were collected on stump-mic.
It is not yet clear what prompted such a reaction from Kohli, who is regarded as one of the best runners between wickets. Here’s the video:

Match wise, Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja combined in an unbroken century partnership for India to regain the West Indies ascendancy with 288 for four on stumps on Thursday, the opening day of the second and final test.
After getting going at Queen’s Park Oval in Trinidad, India started strong before faltering in the afternoon session.
After tea, Kohli played with the exaggerated caution of a man eager to make an important mark in the 500th international match. His unbeaten 87 (161 balls, eight fours) with the support of Jadeja (36 not out) gave India the lead again.
Their stand of 106 frustrated the Caribbean team in a lengthy final session that saw captain Kraigg Brathwaite resort to his own crazy off-breaks in search of a breakthrough.
This is the 100th Test match between the West Indies and India since the first was played in Delhi in November 1948, at the start of the Caribbean side’s historic inaugural tour to the subcontinent.
Despite being winless against their opponents for over 21 years, the West Indies still lead India 30-23 in test wins in the 99 matches.
