Sunrisers Hyderabad will look to continue their winning streak in the 2023 Indian Premier League (IPL) when the Aiden Markram-led squad takes on Kolkata Knight Riders on Thursday. In their previous game, SRH drove brilliant batting performances from Abhishek Sharma and Heinrich Klaasen along with a disciplined bowling display from Mayank Markande to beat Delhi Capitals. The burden of proof will once again be on the highest order hitters to get SRH off to a solid start after a few early layoffs.
Abhishek Sharma had a great performance for his team in the past few games and he will again open the at bat with Mayank Agarwal. Rahul Tripathi and skipper Markram are in the top league, while English star Harry Brook has been given the role to bolster the mid-range.
Klaasen was in explosive form against KKR and together with Abdul Samad he will be entrusted with the responsibility of adding valuable points in a short period of time towards the end of the game.
In the bowling department, Bhuvneshwar Kumar is once again expected to take the lead with Umran Malik joining him in the ranks. Umran has not had good form in the competition so far and he will be eager to increase his score. Marco Jansen is expected to replace Akeal Hossein in the playing XI, while Markande will once again be the main spin option for the IPL 2016 champions.
