Former Team India Captain Sourv Ganguly's Convoy met an accident in the Purba Bardhaman district in West Bengal, but no one was injured in the incident, the police said on Friday. The accident took place on Thursday near Dantanpur on Durgapur Expressway when Ganguly traveled in a car and a fast -moving truck took it in, they said. “In the sudden movement of the truck, the driver of Ganguly's car had to apply a sudden brake that led to a collision with vehicles in his convoy,” said a police officer of the West Bengal police.
“One vehicle even touched the car in which the former cricket player traveled. Two vehicles in his convoy were slower,” he said.
The former cricket player drove to attend a program organized by Burdwan University, the officer said.
“He (Ganguly) later attended the program. It went smoothly,” said the policeman.
