India captain Rohit Sharma had a brain fade moment at the start of the 2nd ODI against New Zealand. After winning the coin toss, Rohit couldn’t remember what the team’s decision was whether to bat first or bowl first. While the video of the incident and a number of memes have gone viral on social media since the incident took place, an old comment from Virat Kohli has also surfaced in the aftermath of the incident.
Speaking to Gaurav Kapur on an episode of Breakfast With Champions, Kohli had revealed how ‘forgetful’ Rohit is. In the video, Virat had also said that Rohit had forgotten his passport several times.
“The number of things that Rohit Sharma forgets; I’ve never seen anyone else so forgetful. iPad, wallet, phone… … he has no idea he left anything behind, the bus would have gone half way to the hotel and then he remembers “Oh, I left my iPad on the plane.” He also left his passport a few times. It was really hard to find it again “The logistics manager always asks, ‘Has Rohit Sharma left all his stuff?’. Once he gets a yes from Rohit, only the bus leaves,” Kohli had said on the chat show five years ago.

In the video, Kohli had called Rohit ‘one of the funniest person’ as he told some epic stories about the current Indian skipper.
“Rohit Sharma is actually one of the funniest people you will ever meet. The best thing about him is that he starts talking in typical Mumbai slang very often. As if to say ‘There is a lot of traffic in Lokhandwala’ he will say, “There’s a lot of this there.” Then we wait… 5 seconds, 10 seconds. He’ll say again, “But it’s all this, man.” Basically, it’s up to you to understand. I told me what to do and now it’s up to you and how sharp your brain is… I’m not going to explain what I’m talking about,” Kohli had revealed.
Rohit himself saw the funny side of the toss in the second ODI against New Zealand and admitted that he had forgotten about the team’s decision. In the end, he decided that India will bowl first. The hosts went on to secure an 8-wicket win in the match.
