Despite the uncertainty surrounding the IPL, Buttler expressed his excitement about participating in the T10 tournament. “Yes, in the IPL we will wait and see what happens, but I am just enjoying being here,” Buttler said. “When I arrived on the field today, I've never played in T10 before, but there's a great atmosphere and a great atmosphere throughout the tournament, so that gave me a great feeling from the start of the day. Look around there are some fantastic players here, and it's great to share the locker room with guys like [Nicholas] Pooran and [Marcus] Stoinis. I'm just really excited about it.”
Buttler also addressed stiff competition from compatriot Phil Salt, acknowledging Salt's excellent form over the past year and a half.
“No, no, he's playing great. He's been in fantastic form over the last 12 to 18 months, so it's good for the England team to have a lot of boys playing well,” Buttler said.
