DavidWiese skipped three sixes in the last
Namibian cricketer David Wiese showed his wide range of shots when he crushed Pakistani bowler Waqas Maqsood for 27 runs in the final while hitting for Lahore Qalandars in their Pakistan Super League (PSL) play-off match against Islamabad United on Friday. Leading the bat at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, Qalandars was 141/7 from 19 overs as Wiese, who had only had two deliveries so far, prepared for Maqsood. However, the Pakistani pacer started his restart with a big pitch.
With Qalandars eyeing a big total in the game, Wiese didn’t hold back as he busted Maqsood’s supplies across the park for the rest of the over.
After starting with two sixes, Wiese hit a boundary before taking two runs. The former Royal Challengers Bangalore cricketer then hit six more, before finishing the over with two runs.
PSL shared a video of the over on its official Twitter account. “‘WIESE’ is all you could hear in the ground as the big man showed off his firepower,” read the caption of the video.
